Day 3 - Even More Toronto Street Pianos

Today Mom and I found 5 more pianos across Toronto.
The first one we found was at the University of Toronto, beside the Sidney Smith Hall. It was "Bolivia" by Marcelo Suaznabar.

At Queen's Park Circle we found the "Venezuela"piano by Edgar Yanez Zapata. It was in a nice, quiet area. I really liked how the bench was decorated.

When we went to TTC Downsview Station we found the "St. Kitts & Nevis" piano by Eleanor Hendrickson. It was my favourite piano for the day. I loved the look of it and I liked that people stopped to listen to me play.

We went across to Sheppard and found the Government of Canada building. The "Paraguay" piano by Alex Flores was there. I liked the colours of the piano. It made me think of the ocean.

We went to Mel Lastman Square and we found the "Guyana" piano by Sandra Brewster. This one made us hungry because of all of the yummy food on it. We were lucky to be there on a Friday. They had "Cultura" going on and we were able to get some nice Indian food.

We've found 13 of the 41 pianos so far.

Day 2 - More Toronto Street Pianos!

Today, Mom and I went looking for more Street Pianos in Toronto!

We started off at the Royal Ontario Museum. I found out that this "Bermuda" piano was decorated by Joan Butterfield.
There were lots of other kids there today. 

After the ROM, I went to the CIBC at University and Dundas. There was a piano decorated by Alex Flores. "Mexico". It's so pretty!

My favourite piano for today was the one at the Ontario College of Art and Design. It's "Nicaragua" by Paul Conlan. It sounded nice. It was pretty. And it seemed to be put in the perfect spot. It was almost like being on stage.

We went to the CIBC at Queen and Spadina. We found a lot of construction there but they kept the piano closed when it wasn't being used so the keys stayed clean. It's the "Barbados" piano by Cheryl Rock. I played a lively song to go with the construction.

 We found the piano in front of the Glenn Gould Studio. It's "Antigua and Barbuda" by Dion Fitzgerald.

Then I played on the piano at Roy Thomson Hall. It was "Ecuador" by Jose Ortega. I love where they put it, but the lower C sounded funny.

The last piano we went to today was at the TIFF Bell Lightbox. It was "Costa Rica" by Francisco Castro Lostalo. He wanted to draw attention to the need to protect bees and other wildlife. 

The piano had ivory keys!

"Play Me I'm Yours" - Pianos across Toronto- Day 1

I'm so excited!
There are pianos all over Toronto!

They are going to have the Pan-Am games in Toronto in 2015 and they put pianos all around the city as part of the celebrations now.

They had artists from different countries decorate the pianos.

I spotted 2 of the pianos and I just had to play them.

The first one I spotted was outside the Royal Conservatory of Music.
It had "Belize" on it.

The second piano was right outside the Royal Ontario Museum.

It had "Bermuda" on it. 

It was noisy outside but even strangers listened to me play. 
Some people applauded!
It was fun!

Firefly in the Summer

Grandma asked if there are fireflies in Canada and I wanted to show her what we saw.

The Very Busy Day

Last week Sunday I had a ballet performance and I performed at a piano competition.

The ballet performance was good but it was a long day.

In the piano competition, I played La Toupie for the first song. But, when I played it, I lost my concentration and I asked to start over.
The same thing happened to me with the duet.

There were some parents who didn't agree with the judging and they were shouting in front of us. I didn't like it.

I was so upset that I didn't play the last song that I was supposed to.

I won't ever do a ballet performance on the same day as a piano competition again.

My Cats

When we were in France we kept a close eye on our cats.
We missed both of our cats but we could see this one on the web cam.

He liked to pose for the camera.

It was too hard to get a picture of them playing together.

I am so happy to be home with them again.
I liked exploring Paris, but I missed them.
